Sharing Spaces Kitchen is a shared-use incubator kitchen facility located in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The kitchen is home to a bakery retail store, a processing and packing operation that strengthens the local food economy and a wholesaler to local businesses.
Sharing Spaces Kitchen is an extension of the Opportunity Center, Sharing Spaces Kitchen also provides an opportunity for adults with disabilities to develop skills and work in an integrated job setting.
Sharing Spaces Kitchen strengthens the local economy. In addition to creating new jobs, the kitchen allows every step of the food’s journey to remain local.

At a time when rising energy prices are having a dramatic effect on the price of food from traditional food systems that include hundreds or thousands of miles of transportation between farm and fork, locally sourced food is becoming more and more important.

Sharing Spaces Greenhouse is an operation that grows high- quality hydroponic vegetables, fruit and herbs out of season. Started in 2010, the greenhouse provides integrated community employment opportunities for disabled adults.
